Account Deletion Request

This page explains how customers of Maharani Indian Restaurant (maharani.lk) can request the deletion of their account and personal data from our ordering platform.

How to Request Deletion

To request that your account and associated data be deleted, please do one of the following:

1. Email us at support@maharani.lk
   Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
   Include the email address registered to your Maharani account so we can locate it.
2. Use the Contact page on our website at maharani.lk/contact and select "Account Deletion" as your enquiry type.

We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation to your registered email address.

What Data Is Deleted

Upon confirmed deletion, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your account profile (name, email address, phone number, password)
• Saved delivery addresses
• Saved cart contents
• OTP / verification codes linked to your account
• Push notification identifiers

What Data Is Retained

To comply with Sri Lanka's accounting and legal obligations, the following data is retained even after account deletion:

• Order history and transaction records — retained for up to 5 years from the date of each transaction, after which they are permanently deleted.

During the retention period, this data is not used for marketing and is only accessed where required by law.
